The Antigonish Community Transit Society runs two types of transit services:
♿️ Fixed/Flex Bus Route: The bus runs along an hour-long fixed route that goes from Superstore/Walmart area to the Maples at Mount Cameron. There are several bus stops along the way. You can flag the bus down, or get off anywhere along the route, as long as traffic flow is safe enough for the bus to pull over.
NEW HOURS as of 1 APRIL 2025 The bus runs Monday to Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm & Saturdays 8:00am - 4:00pm and is wheelchair accessible.
💰 Bus Fare:
One way – $2.00
Day pass (Unlimited) – $5.00
20 ride pass (Unlimited) – $55.00
Children under 12 – free
Debit and credit accepted on fixed route bus only.
The ACTS bus does not run on weekends or holidays. If the bus is cancelled because of bad weather they will advertise it on the local radio stations and on their Facebook page.
♿️ Book-A-Ride: ACTS has vehicles providing door-to-door service so you can get where you need to go. Three of the vehicles are wheelchair accessible and one is a hybrid car. The driver will pick you up at your preferred location and take you where you need to go whether it be a medical appointment, shopping, running errands, or simply for a social outing.
👉All Book-A-Ride services must be booked by 1:00 pm the day before the service is needed, or on Friday before for service on Monday.
💰 Price depends on the distance of your trip. Call ACTS Dispatcher at 902-867-0411 for more information.
